About the Team
Built on the Ottawa River
Founded in 2018 under the Ottawa Dragon Boat Club (ODBC), the Senior B Women are a competitive crew of athletes aged 50 and over. What started as a small group of determined paddlers has grown into a nationally recognized team with multiple Team Canada veterans.
We train year-round — on the water from May through October and in the gym through the winter. Our paddlers bring decades of athletic experience, fierce competitiveness, and an unbreakable bond forged through thousands of strokes together.

Built for Competition
Our training program is designed to push boundaries and prepare every paddler for international-level competition.
On-Water Training
May through October on the Ottawa River. Technique drills, race-pace intervals, and full crew timing sessions. 3 practices per week.
Strength & Conditioning
Year-round gym program designed for dragon boat athletes. Core power, rotational strength, and paddler-specific endurance. 2–3 sessions per week.
Coach Mark Singer
Coaching & Strategy
Led by Mark Singer — Team Canada athlete, 8x National Sprint Canoe Champion, and Nepean Sports Wall of Fame inductee. 15+ years coaching experience from beginners to Team Canada’s Premier Team.
